Movie Review: Omo Ghetto ( The Saga)
The first time I saw the movie Omo Ghetto (part 1), it was funny and entertaining, different from the norm, different from the kind of movies produced by Nollywood, it was different from what I was used to. Now, this built up my interest to
watch the Sequel, Omo Ghetto (The Saga) when it was released, although my expectations were at a level I had created in my mind based on the performance of the part 1 movie, I expected it to be a good Nollywood movie, but that was it.
“E sumeyin dada...” Lefty’s (Funke Akindele’s) gangster approach; the opening scene was ingenious.
Cast; I must say, that the casting director was apt with the cast.
Storytelling; They say every story has been told before, but your ability to tell yours differently, is what makes the difference. This was told in an unusual format, different from the norm, and this created enough suspense to make it a beautiful story!
Cinematography; the scenes were shot beautifully, translating pictures with so much intensity was excellent.
The fact that they were able to successfully create unique characters must be applaudable; every character was unique in its own way.
Action; the amazing technicality made the action/fight scenes was very believable.
This wasn’t just any movie, it was a phenomenal one and it deserves all the accolades received and yet to be got. The producers of the movie have made history and this is the best movie I have seen in Nollywood! It can stand up to any top ranking movie anywhere in the world! Superb! Superb!
Rating
