Movie Review: Rattle Snake
I had one of the same feelings this time, of going to relieve my memories, but my friend was of a different opinion, she clearly stated that, she did not want to her childhood memories to be ruined, I had to cajole her into going to watch the movie. I was so sure it was going to be an amazing movie.
The opening scene was captivating that I praised the cinematic work, and then the movie went on, and it went on. At some point I noticed that my friend was on her phone, and l also checked through my phone for messages. The scenes began to get too dark and some scenes confusing, I didn’t know what was happening anymore, I guess I was off the movie screen for a bit.
I felt the lead character is a good actor, but he wasn’t pushed to deliver more as he could have, more so I wasn’t sure if the lines he was given fit the actual role of Ahanna, because we all expect Ahanna to be at a certain level, well...
But, Buchi, Buchi, how many times did I call you! This man embodies the role so well, that I would fairly say, he ate up his role! He delivered on every bit! About the roles for the actors, I would have advised differently.
It’s been quite a year, perhaps that’s why a lot of things weren’t on the same level with the living in bondage sequel... What can I say, a lot of things happened, I probably would have said that to my friend if she sent any question I couldn’t answer my way, Moving on...
Thankfully my friend didn’t ask for a refund, it was actually the least I feared, as she had warned that I not spoil her childhood, even though sey no be me make the movie. But since she didn’t ask for a refund, I also avoided asking her if she enjoyed watching the movie. I assumed we were fine and as soon as we left the theater, we chatted about other things, I intentionally avoided the sensitive subject on the movie we just saw, and brought up other unrelated issues, avoiding anything that had to do with movies in totality.
Overall I’d rate the movie a 5/10
